Hello!! Welcome to “Darling Human”. I’m your hostess, Effy Wild, and I am a journal artist, writer, and teacher. You can find me blogging on my website, hanging out on the socials on Facebook, and on Instagram, in Life Book 2021, and here in my teaching network where I present a variety of year-long and shorter art journaling and mixed media experiences each and every year.
Darling Human began as little love notes I wrote to myself on social media as a way to self-soothe or apply care to wherever I was at in any given moment. They started as ‘Darling Girl’ notes but I soon realized that they would be much more universal and powerful if they were more inclusive. I started creating graphics with them to share on Instagram, and over the course of about a year, created quite a collection of these inspiring little notes.
Then, as often happens in my world, I accidentally created the Darling Human Planner & Journal when I was working on creating a prototype to demonstrate how to use printable planners in a binder or a Sweet Trash Journal.
Then, I realized how perfect these notes are as jumping-off points into the art journal, and this series was born!
My intention for this series is to guide you in creating a body of work that will be a lush, visual representation of self-empathy and care. When you come to the page throughout this series, I want you to come as your most loving self and lavish that love on the darling human parts of you that need it most.

How It Works
There is a lesson for each month, but since all lessons will be released by the end of 2020, you can ‘binge’ or ‘crawl’ through the content as time permits! You have forever access to the content and everything is downloadable.
In each of these lessons, I will share one of my notes, and then create an art journal spread inspired by the note. These lessons will be accessible to beginners, and open to interpretation by intermediate and advanced art journalers.
All lessons will come with videos and a colour PDF with musings, supplies, and instructions. Each lesson will also come with the note I’m working with as a graphic that you can print out and put on your vision board or glue into your journal.
The lessons will be contained within the body of a PDF that you can download to your hard drive and keep forever. The videos are downloadable as well.
